Lara is experienced in complex wills and estate planning matters, having worked closely with clients and private advisors in farming business succession in regional Western Australia.

A significant part of Lara’s workload involves drafting and advising on testamentary trust Wills, including advising on the interaction of family trusts and self-managed superannuation funds in a client’s overall estate plan.

Lara has extensive experience in solemn form probate application and Supreme Court litigation matters involving informal Wills, testamentary capacity issues and family provision claims.

Estate administration is also an area that Lara works proficiently and deftly in, handling matters such as property law, and ensuring adequate taxation advice is integrated into the finalisation of estate matters.

With a background in environmental science, and a keen interest in environmental law and planning matters, Lara’s current Masters’ course is equipping the firm with a broader skill set to expanding our knowledge in this growing practice area.

Legal Experience

Lara has over 10 years’ experience specialising in Wills and Estate Planning. With a keen eye for detail and seeking to understand client’s perspectives, Lara is a adept at advising clients, drafting testamentary trust Wills and working closely with client’s accountants in complex succession matters.

Acting in numerous matters in Supreme Court litigation involving contested Wills including solemn form probate and family provision claims, Lara brings a depth of experience and practical knowledge.

Lara enjoys playing the violin in a folk band, playing nationally at festivals and regionally in NSW. Whether its Coogee beach on the weekend, or a bushwalking track not far from Sydney, this is where Lara’s finds her relaxation time.
